Our apologies for not posting for the last while. Ethan has been suffering through a very tough round of radiation treatment. We had hoped this may lay the groundwork for another chemo assault. It seems though this particular case of ALL Type T Leukemia is quite vicious (Our Dr suggested in 30 years she had never seen a case so reliant to treatment which is very frustrating). Things seem pretty tough just now and we want you all to know how much your well wishes have meant (over 23k hits on this blog which is unbelievable). It seems clear that Ethan’s stoicism and strength in face of repetitive bad news, pain and suffering has hit a chord and as parents he has always and continues to make us so proud. Lastly Ethan has mocked my selfie skills for years and with this picture he again shows he was right.
Things are getting pretty scary but Ethan is still fighting.

We are all sending our thought and prayers to you, Ethan, and to your family. My first impression of you seems to have been spot on as you continue to show incredible strength of character. The first time you babysat my boys (Ben, Leo, Sam), I sent your mom a note saying what an impressive young man you were – lovely, smart, confident, fun, funny, polite – and what a great role model you were for my boys. I said to your mom..”you must be so proud of him” and I know that all of this more true today. You’re an amazing young man and we wish you love and strength and will continue to pray for you. There are so many superlatives that come to mind that describe how hard you have been fighting since you shared with us your diagnosis in May.
Each step of the way, whether that step was forward, sideways or backward, you continued to be positive and we marveled at your strength.
It is up to all of us, your support network, made up of family, friends, classmates and strangers, all who have been following your journey, to step up to the plate and in one loud, roaring voice exclaim – ‘Ethan, we are proud of you and your fight and like you, we are still fighting and praying.’
