The past couple weeks have been quite tough for me and my family. Last Sunday I had to be brought to the hospital due to the fact that I had lost all ability to control my legs. The doctors here at PMH have been searching to find the cause of my sudden condition and have come to the conclusion that its being caused by the lumbar puncture chemo that I have been receiving. At the same time, however, blast cells have returned to the spinal fluid and so i need LPs to clear these cells. So, they have changed the specific chemo drug being used for LPs.
Right now the main goal is to get three clear LPs in a row so that I can go to transplant.
In terms of a donor it looks for sure like Spencer will be the donor. Using Spencer means we can suck him dry and the fact that he is at home makes logistics of donation much easier.
There have been a few hitches in our plan recently but as long as we can ensure the doctors stay focused on what needs to be done to have a successful transplant, we are doing all we can do.
